Montavilla, which stands for Mt. Tabor Villa, is a cozy little community in SE Portland. In the 1890s the neighborhood was named Mt Tabor Village and was a stopping point for travelers going from Hood River into Portland. Today, Montavilla is an active neighborhood with craftsman style homes and a commercial district.
